Operating as a Not-for-Profit Organisation
The Tweed Heads Community Men's Shed is a thriving not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering friendship, purpose, and community spirit. As a registered charity, we rely on donations, community support, and volunteer efforts to keep our Shed running and make a meaningful impact in the local area.
All donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible. Your support helps us maintain a safe, accessible, and well-equipped workshop that encourages skill-sharing, creativity, and social connection among our members.

Beyond our workshop doors, we actively give back to the community through local projects, tool donations, and financial assistance to other charitable organisations. From building playground equipment to donating funds to local support services, our Shed’s work touches many lives.

For many of our members, especially retirees, the Shed provides much more than a workspace — it’s a place to connect, share stories, learn new skills, and stay active within the community. It offers friendship, belonging, and a sense of purpose.
We gratefully accept tool donations, giving them a second life through sales at our Sunday markets. These proceeds directly support our operations and enable us to continue assisting others.
Much of our funding is proudly raised through managing the Tweed Markets, located right next to our Shed. Every Sunday, a dedicated team of around 10–12 members work together to set up, manage stalls, and assist visitors throughout the day. The markets not only provide vital financial support for our operations and community projects, but also offer an opportunity for members to stay active, social, and engaged with the wider community.
